Slim Easy to install as it should be.

The wisper board is a great combo for the Ender 3. Now mix this with some TH3D software and firmware and all the updates they have to make it 100x better. The only downside to this board is the SD card. The slot broke in less than 30 days. But comgrow was very helpful in troubleshooting and emailed me directly to fix the situation when replacing the board. I would like to give a special thank you to Katie for her help. That's true, but Amazon sent me another replacement. So all good. I wouldโ€ฆ

Only the noise of the fan remains, amazing!

Updating was easy. This took about an hour, half of which was removing my existing printer mods, OctoPi, camera, etc., marking some cables with a marker, and taking photos along the way, just in case. Much easier than the original printer assembly I would say. I can't believe how much smoother and quieter the steppers are on the new board. I wanted to whisper, but I hear a whisper. The only noise now is the fan. I measured the noise during printing before (48dB) and after (36dB) to confirm myโ€ฆ

Quiet but skips steps - Trinamic driver in legacy mode, not in UART mode

The board was an easy replacement and stood up with no problems. It's also surprisingly quiet compared to a standard board. However, the problem with 1.1.5 is how the Trinamic drivers are linked. You are in legacy mode, not in the UART. By default, they run in StealthChop mode, which is really quiet. But it also has less torque than the original drivers, so steps are sometimes skipped. Out of the box, my 1.1.5 board skipped z-axis steps and gave me some weird layers in the fine print. I alsoโ€ฆ
