The wisper board is a great combo for the Ender 3. Now mix this with some TH3D software and firmware and all the updates they have to make it 100x better. The only downside to this board is the SD card. The slot broke in less than 30 days. But comgrow was very helpful in troubleshooting and emailed me directly to fix the situation when replacing the board. I would like to give a special thank you to Katie for her help. That's true, but Amazon sent me another replacement. So all good. I would say that the Wisperboard does get a bit warm with use. Also the motors seemed to be getting hotter but even after 16 hours of printing they ran fine and the heat was the same as after 1 hour of printing. The start with this board is good. This gives you the opportunity to learn. But then moving to TH3D updates is a fair direction my Ender 3 will have more.
