After much trial and error I finally found these to be the perfect secure backs for hook earrings. Many of the back protectors on the market are highly visible and detract from the look of the earring and I have spent a lot of time and money trying different versions hoping to find ones that would almost disappear...they just do that Also, the price is amazing; They cost less than I've ever bought a product like this at jewelry wholesale fairs and the ones that were there were bigger and much more intrusive looking than these. I read several reviews where people complained about not being able to put them on their headphones. That's a plus, not a minus, as it means that right out of the box they'll securely hold whatever earbuds you have, from standard to thin, while also stretching slightly to accommodate even the largest of earbuds. If you have a larger diameter ear wire than usual, simply choose a needle of roughly the same diameter and insert it into the safety spine. When you pull it out, the plastic stretches enough to slip onto the ear hook and hold it securely. I have some earrings from Africa and Tibet with very large wires and this trick worked great. In fact, I was so pleased with how well they worked and practically disappeared that I not only bought enough to wear them on all my earrings, but also gave them away to friends and family as gifts. I paid full price for this item and my review was objective and unbiased.
