I bought this camera as a second camera for trips to relatives and friends. I wanted something better than just aiming and shooting, but I didn't want to take my Canon 7D and its huge bag on vacations where photography wasn't my top priority. As for the camera, I feel like the images aren't as good as my Canon, but they're very close. This camera can do everything my DSLR can, but you only have to dig through the menus to access most of the settings. I immediately set up three custom buttons for some of the photo types I like, which really speeded up the process. If you don't want to set everything up manually, Samsung offers the same smart settings in this camera as in Galaxy phones. You can set HDR night water, macro, etc. Everything is very simple and easy to do. File transfer is pretty cool, or the NFC feature, whatever it's called. They say all you have to do is touch your phone and camera and voila, they start working. But you need an app on my Galaxy S4 (which is free on play store). Another reason why I chose Samsung over Canon, Nikon or Sony. Once you set it up, getting stuff on Facebook or the web is easy as long as you have a signal. In general I like the camera, for what I need it for it's great. But I will still use my DSLR for most of my photography.
