Not the best in strainer and food strainer

This has been the third time I have used the strainer since I bought it about a month ago. It was working great until I strained the noodles and ripped them in the crease where they should have collapsed. Lost about half of the pasta in the sink. Maybe I just got a bad one, but I expected it to take a little longer than it did. It was the larger of the two sizes that came with it.
