Review on 🔧 KYB SR4038 Strut Plus Complete Corner Unit Assembly: Upgrade Your Suspension with this High-performance All-in-One Solution by Joshua Carter

Great rack build!

I have preferred KYB strut assemblies over the Monroe and Gabriel because all my other cars use KYB and they never fail to impress me. Having not used Monroe or Gabriel I cannot comment on their performance. I have ordered SR4038 and SR4039 as replacement A-pillars for my 2006 Chrysler T&C. At the time of the replacement, my car had about 58,000 miles on it and a strut replacement was long overdue. I chose to do the assembly rather than just replacing the strut because of the cost of purchasing new strut mounts (which is recommended) and the time it takes to compress the spring (not to mention the risk if you don't know what you're doing) take into account ), I'd rather spend a little more. The shelves were packaged fairly well protected. One thing we encountered was that the strut mounts on both replaced struts were misaligned. Don't worry, take a friend with you and ask him/her to hold the post while you turn the bracket in the right direction. Not sure if this is the right way but damn it worked but feel free to do it any way you can. The uprights came with 3 top nuts to mount the uprights, but the KYB nuts were a smaller diameter than the OEM ones and one of the holes was quite large so I decided to reuse the old nuts. After installation, a test drive showed how much our terms and conditions needed these spacers. Our car felt more stable, didn't bounce like a swimmer on speed bumps and handled better. This was especially noticeable on the Autobahn, we spent a lot less time hopping and I swerved less around corners. I can tell you these stays are stiffer than stock but not to the point where it becomes uncomfortable to ride. Overall I would definitely recommend them and they are worth the extra money to me. Please note you can buy them cheaper at rockauto.com, but we need them fast and I'm making a big contribution. You'll need something I didn't originally have: Torx T40 for the stabilizer link (holds it in place), an 18" wrench to remove the stabilizer link. Multiple long heads for the two main screws that hold the rack in place. Good luck and there are videos on YouTube that explain how to do this if you get stuck.
