Review on ๐Ÿ”‘ High-Quality Replacement Key Fob Shell Case for Kia Soul Rio - 3 Buttons Flip Folding Keyless Entry Remote Cover with Uncut Blade Blank by Trey Crosland

Works well considering the price.

I recently bought a 2011 Kia Soul for my daughter and the 1 key fob that came with the car has seen better days. The buttons on the front squeaked and looked like they might stop working at any moment. I found this replacement keychain at a great price and it had good reviews so I went with it. Externally it is almost identical. The only notable difference is that there's a small screw on the back of the new key fob, hidden behind the included KIA sticker, but because it's hidden you won't even notice it once you're done replacing it . The material is noticeably cheaper than plastic, but nothing special for the price. Taking the old OEM key fob apart was a pain in the neck, you basically have to hack it open to get inside. Once opened and the innards removed, fitting into the new key fob was no problem. However, you will notice some slight differences in the fit and finish of the new keychain. The chip was actually a little loose and "played" a little when you shook the key fob. I secured it in a strategic place with a tiny piece of foam tape. It applied a little pressure to keep things in place. When you put everything back together you can still feel a slight play in the button itself when it is extended. I could see that this could cause a problem. Wear and tear from repeatedly starting the car can eventually cause the trailer to crack over time, but for now it starts and runs fine. So we have to wait. All in all, it's unfair to expect more for the price I paid. than what i received. It works, looks almost the same as the OEM and is easy enough to change. End of the story.
