I love the beautiful colors and as we have 4 Schipperkes( all black and similar size) I specifically purchased these (2) collars for our pups to tell them apart. The colors are dyed true and through all of the leather. They do not cause hair to mat around the dogs neck.My ONLY reason for frustration is that the leather ring that you secure the end of the collar through is too large. Multiple times per day, I have to take the loose end of the collar and put it back through the loop. These we reasonably priced and should last for years. however, I am really frustrated that I can't count on the extra length of each collar to stay in place so will replace them with a different brand. Had I not missed the return date during the business of holidays and their needing to have collars, I should have returned them or asked them to replace them; perhaps the loop being too loose was just a "bad day" at quality control?
