My head circumference is about 21 inches and the band around the cap is snug so it stays on my head. However, the band needs to be tapered as it goes over the ears and behind. I don't like the tight fit around the ears, you have to fiddle with the hat a little to make it fit comfortably and stay on your head at the same time, the bandage completely covers the forehead, which I guess is good for holding your head, but I'd like it less wide, it is single layer, well finished and spacious, as in the photo, there is no label on the inside indicating the composition of the fabric or the washing instructions, washed in a fabric bag with the rest I chose mauve because it was cheaper than others, around $6, which is a fair price for this product.
