Review on QuiltCut UltraGrid: 7 Piece Starter Set of USA Made Non-Slip Quilting Rulers by Dawn Fischer

I've been using the same 6" x 12" Omnigrid quilting ruler for about a decade now. I didn't embroider much and that was more than enough for the job. With all my newfound free time (thanks COVID-19!), I've rediscovered my love for quilting and decided it's time to add something more. weapons in my arsenal. This was a small adjustment for me as I'm very used to the opaque grid lines on my Omnigrid ruler. Once my brain adjusted, there were no problems. My only potential gripe is that I'm not the type to use a ruler as a template for cutting squares. I like to measure, mark and cut with scissors. The extra 1/2 inch included with some square rulers really confuses me. I don't expect them to have that extra 1/2 inch and I end up measuring wrong. I'll probably get used to this over time, but it has resulted in me measuring, marking and cutting incorrectly several times which was very frustrating. So now I measure, mark, measure again with my omnigrid ruler, just to make sure I haven't messed anything up, I cut with scissors. Overall I am very happy with these lines. They stay in place and allow me to work harder and more accurately.
