Non-return valve 3/4 " for steam dryer hose

Non-return valve for domestic tumble dryer 3/4" cold water hose for dryer steam options. (This check valve is a spring loaded, resilient seated double check valve required for the county code dryer hose.) I used a Watts LF7R double check valve size 3/4 x 3/4" U2 x 2 serial number: 1211 WASSE 1024, look for LF7RU2-2.and 2 x 3/4" male brass adapters (Screw the adapters into the valve body with 1/2" nylon tape wrapped 5 times clockwise to the end of the adapter, do not use pipe lube) to connect them to the hose 3/4" female fittings from the recommended dryer kit. Check sizing at a real plumbing supply store to ensure proper thread fit and keep overall size (and cost) to a minimum. Household washer and dryer hoses have 3/4" fittings. There is an arrow on the valve to show the direction of water flow. You can check the water flow with the external hose, which also flushes the valve before use. Shorter braided Hose and stainless steel from the recommended dryer hose kit to connect to the new cold water Y-connector I had a choice of two Y-connectors, the cold water Y-connector I used had a female end that connects directly to the The other two ends of the Y-connector were male, one of the Y-shaped male outlets connects to the washing machine cold water hose, and the other Y-connector connects to a short hose with a Watts LF7R double check valve fitted in is installed in the right direction. The cold water hose connects to the valve outlet. So why a short hose and not a Dir ect valve? - I read that the plumbing code requires about 6 times the diameter of the hose in length to the valve, not directly to the water supply lines to protect the water lines from bursting. Note that the LF7R valve specifications can handle more than twice the 175 psi water supply pressure. The decal on the LF7R valve body must face you and the examiner; Any orientation of the valve is allowed. I paid the installer a $40 county inspection fee at the time the dehumidifier was installed, but I refused to pay the dryer installer $180 to install the check valve because it looked easy to install, except the installer didn't give me any gave useful information. Manufacturer or model number of the dual check valve. He didn't actually mention it was a double check valve. I had to find this out through my county (and other counties as all are very slow to respond). The dryer installer then connected one end of the hose to the dryer and left the other end hanging near the pipe until I reached it or not. I called the dryer manufacturer who said I had the option of plugging in the dryer hose or not and the clothes would still dry just fine. But I was still looking for the right check valve. The total cost for just a 3/4" Watts LF7R valve with its 2 male adapters is about $45. (There are other LF7R models at a much higher price with additional connectors.) Must be replaced every 5 years as recommended by Watts. Tighten all hose connections except finger tight about a quarter or half turn with pliers - I haven't had any leaks. Our district inspector later turned over our washer and dryer setup for everything including all the water hoses and gas lines along with this check valve, the Watts LF7R, which I installed. I spent two weeks looking for the right check valve, the Watts LF7R. Neither Home Depot, nor Lowes, nor Best Buy, nor the dryer manufacturer, nor the main supplier The County Plumbing Inspector General helped determine which brand (brand) and check valve model(s) to use as I was looking for the smallest. with the team Watts mentioned. Sorry for such an easy DIY. Also, if you look at Revain for a check valve, you won't find this Watts model; see how many strange things appear. But the next time you're looking for a household backflow preventer, this Watts model has it covered.

Pros
  • Non-return valve
Cons
  • Wrinkled packaging
