It seems broken even with the ability to use the remote control. My parents bought a Sharp LC-43K325UW last summer and always use their DISH TV remote which was set up by a DISH technician. Now I'm trying to help them use the TV without DISH and my mother didn't realize she threw away the remote control with the box. I bought this remote control and after a few minutes of use the TV stopped responding. They used my original remote on loan before this came and now even that doesn't work. Could be coincidence, but doesn't make much sense to me. Now they have a TV less than a year old that they can't use because the remote doesn't work on it! UPDATE: The battery cover never stays in place! I have never heard from the seller about my review. Stay away.
