A high-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

A purchase that was excellent in every way. In the beginning, all I needed was an additional hard drive for my desktop computer; nevertheless, in the end, I decided to purchase this entire system. It came to light that selecting this alternative does not make the situation any worse, but rather improves it. The device consists of a very small box that is placed on the table next to the computer and is connected to it using a USB cable. So, there is no need for you to open up the computer, install a new disk, and search for available slots for it (if, as in my case, everything is already there to the eyeballs). In light of this, if it turns out that you need to, you may either remove the disk and install it on another machine, or you can just store it as an archive at a remote location. To a very high degree. But at the same time, what fundamentally distinguished this drive from all of the other external drives that I had was that it had some kind of monstrous speed for such a thing. Specifically, I was talking about how fast it could transfer files. Working with it is almost identical to working with a full-fledged hard disk, which makes the experience much more enjoyable. At the same time, it is worthwhile to keep one's fingers crossed that, much like other items manufactured by Western Digital, this device will continue to function normally for a considerable amount of time. The power supply that was combined with a plug was one feature that I found tolerable. It is not very successful in terms of the fact that it has a power supply that protrudes out of the socket, and despite the fact that it is not too bulky overall, it may not be very comfortable to use in some circumstances. When purchasing this device, you need to be aware of the following fact: this is not merely an external drive; rather, it is a portable external drive. This means that it has additional dimensions, requires a separate power supply, and, despite its small size, requires some space on the table. That is to say, this option is not intended for use with portable laptops but rather with stationary desktop computers.

Pros
  • Simple to operate, quick, low-noise, uncomplicated to connect, and ready to go to work immediately.
Cons
  • A plug that is not particularly user-friendly in terms of connecting to an external power supply.
