I chose an AMD processor but didn't choose between the B550 and X570. After reading many articles and watching many videos about the differences, I finally decided that the B550 is the way to go and within budget. I chose this MSI MPG B550 Gaming Edge WiFi because of the quality, features and price. MSI makes quality motherboards, that goes without saying. I needed Wi-Fi, at least 6 SATA ports, room for 4 RAM modules (in case I need to upgrade from 2), and at least 5 system fan headers. This board has it all. Installation was easy, with the only tricky part being connecting the tiny front panel connectors on the case. However, the manual clearly addresses this, so I only had to be careful with port 1, which featured reverse charging. I was using an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X so I didn't need to flash the BIOS, but if I had to build another system I would choose the 5800X and then update the BIOS accordingly to make it work. I absolutely love this mobo and would buy one again!
