My problems may be related to surround sound in general and affect all systems, not just this one. I'm not impressed. I got this with the expectation that a subwoofer (under the sofa) and two speakers (on either side of the sofa) would provide nice, mellow sound from TV shows and movies closer to me, the listener, without the volume having to crank up annoyingly high levels. levels for others in the house. This was not the case. I get NO dialogue from any of the three couch/audience speakers. The only dialogue comes from a single center speaker on the soundbar across the room below the TV. I spent a few hours tweaking all the settings and looking for solutions online. At best, you get surround-sound music and sound effects drowning out the only speaker allowed for dialogue to come out. Same problem I started with, too loud to hear dialogue in the room, but now I have to deal with music and surround sound effects! There is a small display on the remote control so you know what settings you are using. I use it, but it's not backlit, and to read it you need good light in the room.
