I can't help but agree with other reviewers on how awful this machine is. It really needs 0 stars. Not only did water flow out of the shaft and lukewarm coffee was produced, the coffee was completely undrinkable because it smelled and tasted like burnt plastic. I couldn't get rid of the chemical smell and it never tasted like coffee. It tasted and smelled like taking an electronic device, heating it in water and serving it in a mug. DISCOVER! I cleaned the machine with only 25 water cycles. I used the vinegar method recommended in the product manual. Nothing helped. I can't remember how many pods were wasted and the smell and taste stayed. So I contacted the company. I was told to cut the cable and send it in for a replacement for $7.50 (like other reviewers). The second car was just as bad if not worse! This time I didn't bother trying again, cut my losses and threw the stupid thing in the trash. I'm glad some people had luck with this issue, but I wasn't one of them. I urge you to look elsewhere. hands off it!
