Great car! - Coffee, Tea and Espresso

I've had this machine for about 6 months now and I absolutely love it! It's so great that you don't have to measure your coffee, grab a filter and wait for the coffee to brew. It makes about 16 ounces in about 90 seconds or less, coffee that's really hot! I find it helpful to buy those paper coffee mugs that you can get in stock, clubs and lids to keep it brewing and I get fantastic results! The only thing I hope is that in their future models they will make a product with more metal and less…

You get what you pay for.

On average we go through one such block per year. But you're only paying $30-$40 for this piece of hardware, so you can't expect it to last forever. If you want a solid construction (read: no plastic), then you should buy a more expensive device. If you want a REAL cappuccino, you need to buy a $2,000 cappuccino maker. Still, we keep buying this coffee maker because it's affordable, capsules can be found in various supermarkets, and the coffee is pretty decent. like steaming hot coffee that…

I chose Senso: Kitchen & Dining

After purchasing the Black & Decker Home Cafe System I thought this would be the best invention for a single college student. My first impression was the lack of quality and detail. The handle to open the lid was so weak that I was afraid of breaking it the first time I opened it. Although the machine made excellent coffee, the temperature was lukewarm and ready to drink in a matter of seconds. That meant I had to finish my entire mug in five minutes. What about level indicators? The OZ buttons

Chemical-cino: Coffee Makers

I can't help but agree with other reviewers on how awful this machine is. It really needs 0 stars. Not only did water flow out of the shaft and lukewarm coffee was produced, the coffee was completely undrinkable because it smelled and tasted like burnt plastic. I couldn't get rid of the chemical smell and it never tasted like coffee. It tasted and smelled like taking an electronic device, heating it in water and serving it in a mug. DISCOVER! I cleaned the machine with only 25 water cycles. I…

A decent cup of coffee - FAST

I've had the car for about 6 months and use it several times a day. While I expected a sturdier coffeemaker design from a company like Black & Decker, not a single part has broken since I started using it. The machine came with Folgers coffee pods and although I initially attributed bad coffee to the machine, I quickly realized it was COFFEE. After replacing the much better tasting Maxwell House and Millstone pods, the brewing result was 10x better (which is odd given that I prefer Folgers in…

Don't buy these coffee makers

I bought my first coffee maker in October 2004. It worked fine for several months, but gradually began to fall apart. Cheap plastic parts cannot withstand the steam pressure during the brewing process. I ended up having to call Home Cafe and ask them to send me a replacement capsule holder because mine ended up falling into small pieces. A week after I got a new holder, it also started cracking. I then took the unit back to my local friendly Super Walmart and exchanged it for a different model…

I am shocked. for coffee machines

. I've had mine for over 4 years now. The only problem I had in the beginning was that I removed the water tank to fill it up and it leaked after I put it back in, but it was my fault for not submerging it deep enough. I don't remove it afterwards, I refilled it with a jug and it never drips again. I think this is a design flaw - they shouldn't have made the tank removable. I have a friend who loved mine so she got one from her. She died in just a few months - the element did not warm up. But…

Home Cafe Review for Kitchen and Dining

I checked out Phillips, Melitta and B and D. Maybe I went for Phillips but couldn't find it in white, heard too many complaints about Melitta coffee but that might be nice, it's each person's personal taste but my wife and I supposedly drink Colombian Folgers. I used to drink a lot of Starbucks but just burned out on this one, now we only have one cup in the morning. I used a Millstone Colombian Supremo and it turned out to be a really good cup of coffee too, reminding me of one of the very…
