Review on 🧡 Janome HD1000 Heavy-Duty Sewing Machine: Explore 14 Convenient Built-In Stitches! by Tara Ford

Not well made and not easy to use. Save for the best model.

This is an acceptable machine for simple sewing work. The stitches, whatever they are, are fine and the buttonhole maker works, except you can't see where the buttonhole starts and ends due to the opaque presser foot. Find a colored non-permanent marker and mark the start and end points of the loop well and hope for the best. It annoys me that on the third attempt to turn off the hand wheel to wind, the wheel got stuck and wouldn't move, so I had to wind the bobbin very slowly because the needle was still moving up and down. That shouldn't happen with a new car. I bought the base machine because after many years of buying quality products I realized that I had never used 2/3 of the features offered, so I needed a strong and reliable base machine. Janome has a good reputation. Unfortunately I was disappointed with this product. Basically I took a chance and bought the machine online and in fact you have to try a sewing machine in real life to get a feel for it. It's not a good deal no matter how much you pay if you don't like the car when you use it. I've tried my best to please this car, but it's not easy. I'm giving it away and buying another brand I like.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
