Ideal for storing garden hoses over the winter. I bought both the male and female versions because I wasn't sure I would have access to both ends of each hose. They both work great. I already have a compressor hose with a quick connector for attaching various parts, e.g. B. an air chuck for car tires. This is a great adapter that doesn't require you to buy parts and create a cleanup. I have used the adapter to blow 4 garden hose reels and drip irrigation hoses. It took longer to pressurize my little compressor and connect the compressor hose and adapter to each hose reel than it did to bleed all the hoses. The adapter simply screws into one end of the garden hose. Then simply plug the other end into the quick-release coupling on the compressor hose. And in seconds the water is squeezed out of the garden hose and the hose is ready for winter storage. Much easier than uncoiling a 100ft hose, pulling it up and hoping you can get all the water out. Another tip: the water will come out of the hose with some force, so you can place a brick or other weight on the end of the hose to keep the hose from flying around.
