Coat your hardwood floors with glitza. It is very toxic (our fish in the aquarium died) and after applying the varnish we had to stay in a motel because of the toxic fumes. But wow the finish is hard wearing, has been on our floors for 20 years now and looks great when cleaned with Glitza cleaner. So I feel guilty and happy at the same time and, sorry, I would do it again.
