First off the product description says it comes with o-rings, lube and instructions. It just came in a box with a very poor quality filter. I'm not even sure if it's anything more than a cloth-wrapped pre-filter. I'm a plumber and took it to my wholesaler to compare with the real deal. It's not even comparable, and I think it's a complete distortion. In fact, it should NOT be used as a means of neutralizing limescale and scale molecules in hard water. This is a serious false sense of security and a potentially costly problem that can happen to your water heater. There is no required media in this device at all. This environment is the corporate goal of what is even needed for water purification.
