Does not include internal filter

The filter fits the FTHT-20RF, but it is missing a key component and is incompatible with the existing filter. Also, no new o-rings are provided for the device, which again is an essential part of the process. If you want to keep your warranty buyer, be careful.

Not even close to the real deal

First off the product description says it comes with o-rings, lube and instructions. It just came in a box with a very poor quality filter. I'm not even sure if it's anything more than a cloth-wrapped pre-filter. I'm a plumber and took it to my wholesaler to compare with the real deal. It's not even comparable, and I think it's a complete distortion. In fact, it should NOT be used as a means of neutralizing limescale and scale molecules in hard water. This is a serious false sense of security…

May fit but not missing the key features of an OEM product by sending it back.

I was tempted to buy this filter thinking it was an OEM replacement. When I opened up the filter canister and removed the old OEM filter I saw that the old OEM filter had a central core of water treatment pellets as described by the trade name "The Heater Treater" filter on Revain. As much as I paid for the water heater, I want the chemical protection option. This cheaper filter is completely hollow and empty inside. Also, this cheap block doesn't include a large spare O-ring.
