I bought this pasta roller to see if my wife and I would enjoy the art of pasta making before investing a few hundred dollars in a Kitchen Aid attachment did, and I'm glad we did tat tat. I found it very helpful to take the trouble to make the dough and roll it into sheets before cutting. This machine offers everything you would expect from a pasta roller/cutter. It has multiple thickness settings (9 I think) as well as a cutter that lets you cut fettuccine and spaghetti. The only thing I really wished was that the numbers on the scroll wheel were clearer, but that's easily fixed with a razor-thin marker. I don't think I need that KitchenAid attachment after all.
