all parts fit, but the impeller is lame.

Replaced the water pump on my Mercury 15hp The engine peed well for about 2 minutes then stopped peeing completely. After removing the bottom block, I found that the impeller had snapped off. It seemed to fit the shaft snugly, but I suspect the plastic collar on the inside of the impeller came loose to hold the key in place on the shaft. You may want to find a kit with a better quality impeller.
