Like another user review, I have also noticed that out of the box, the grit is inconsistent on the paddle. I have ordered 4 and on 3 of them, one side had clearly higher grit than the other. The other side felt smooth right around the sweet spot. I had to return those. I think this may be a manufacturing defect that Joola should address. I don't know if this problem also exists on the Hyperion CFS 16mm heavy, but it definitely is a problem on the 14mm heavy, being a new model released.The handle feels oddly elongated or oval shaped which makes changing grip difficult during a point. The 16mm is more round and easier to change grip if you are the kind that likes to switch between continental, Eastern, or semi western grips.
