String is great, but the bulbs. they have issues.
The light string is heavy duty and weatherproof. The reason I can't give it 5 stars is the bulbs. I had a 50% mortality rate on the bulbs that came with the string. I ordered 4 extra, but one of those was bad too, so I'm still down 3 bulbs. The Starlight bulbs look great, but they just don't survive the rigors of shipping very well. I am concerned about what this means for long-term bulb life too.---UPDATE-- after a bit of fiddling, it turns out that almost all the bulbs work. Some of the sockets feel like the bulb is fully seated even when it isn't.The overall lighting on this is excellent- not enough to read by, but great for having conversation. Many comments from others about how nice the starlight bulbs look.
