On the paper brochure that came with it, one of the statements reads "2 USB 3.0 ports - 5Gbps data transfer rate." Load my external drive onto a new MacBook Pro. The current speed is 2 Mbit/s. In the last 20 minutes, my estimated load time has increased from 7:45 to 1:18 and is only getting longer. Don't buy this. It's cheap, but man, I found out the hard way why. Terrible data transfer speeds, it interferes with the Wi-Fi connection (enjoy downloading files) and it has a stranglehold on my USB ports when I go to unplug them. I'm wondering if it's cheap fake or if HomeSpot really sells inferior stuff?
