I am shocked how well this collar works. My dog (who I consider untrainable) responds incredibly to this collar. I've never used a shock setting, just a beep or vibration. My dog is barking at a leaf flying down the street, so the fact that my backyard touches five other dog yards (9 dogs total) should tell you something. He ran along the fence barking, barking, barking at every dog, running back and forth. His constant barking just drives all the neighbor's dogs insane (my dog is the instigator). He will be sitting on the playground patio looking down at all the neighbor dogs and demanding respect. I suspect they're throwing bombs at him, but he doesn't care. that is, until I press the little button on the remote and it beeps. I'm really amazed how he immediately stops barking and runs straight to the back door to get in. I work from home and the same thing happens in the house. He starts barking at a rabbit who dares to cross our lawn, I give him a beep and he stops. There have been several times I forgot to put a collar on him (I will say he knows when the collar is not on) and he barks at the back fence. If I just put the collar on the back door and push the button, he hears the signal across the yard (maybe 150ft?), stops barking, and comes running. This might be the best buy against my insanity I've ever made.
