I use these D hooks on every artwork/frame I collect. Basically you screw 2 of these D hooks into the back of the frame. Usually about 1/4 down. Then a braided wire is pulled between them. This keeps the artwork safe. When I go to local stores to buy D ring hooks they usually come in 3 per pack! You use 2 at a time! So you need either 2 or 4, not 3! In addition, there are packages that contain 10 or 14 D hooks. But I needed more. So I bought these 100 D ring hooks. These screw sizes are pretty good, but depending on the thickness of the frame you may need shorter screws. If the screws are too long for the thickness of your frame, the screw will go right through the front of the frame! Then your frame is not good.
