This is normal. Setting up the browser was a bit tricky compared to my old Netgear router. What made me buy this router over any other router is the shelf space it takes up. I have a wall mount converged box and the size of the latest wireless routers has made it too big to fit in my case. This unit was the only Gigabit AC router that fit, so I had to try it. We still use it, but eventually I'll have to find a replacement. The reason is that the signal distance is ridiculously short, some spots are just darkened and it doesn't matter what frequency I use. I was expecting a better signal that was faster and further than my 5 year old Netgear router. Although my AC-enabled iPhone 6 is faster, I need to be closer to my router to get a good speed signal. So in the end, barring the gigabit upgrade, the AC wireless part probably has a 10 percent increase in performance and a 30 percent reduction in range.
