Update - 27 February 2019, end of July 2018 and both, BOTH, today burned down. At the same time phew. The last two I used lasted over a year and a half, which makes me wonder if wrapping them loosely around the bulb will shorten their lifespan? They worked great when I was using them and were working fine about an hour ago. I will still buy them here because they still cost less money than anywhere else BUT now I know they last about six months and will buy them knowing that. end of update. I have to say I haven't had any issues with these lamps, but I suspect some issues may be due to shipping. These bulbs arrived with just enough packaging not to be pushed around. From experience I can tell you that when transporting halogen lamps, the packaging must protect the lamps from sudden and abrupt movements. Both of the bulbs I ordered worked great, and a big added bonus was that they were half the price here than anywhere else I'd bought near my home. I would recommend using heavier packaging when shipping but overall I can't complain as they work as they should.
