Orange Paint Weaver's Hurt My Dog

I bought two of these orange collars for Champ in 2017, one of four large white dogs. We love the orange color on Champa because he has a tanned mask on one side of his face and the orange goes well with his looks. In white dogs there is also a very noticeable dirt. Usually, after a long play, we water the dogs with a garden hose, dry them off with a towel, and then let them back inside. Unfortunately, this manufacturer has chosen a dye that not only bleeds when wet, but also causes unpleasant skin symptoms in the neck and chest areas. While wearing this collar, he always had an orange throat and chest that became inflamed, thickened, and darkened. I switched to the second collar because I thought the first was just a bad collar. The second did the same. The thing is, he NEVER stopped bleeding orange. I thought soaking would help. nope The color continued to cause skin problems for my dear champ. I switched to another manufacturer, Blueberry, for the orange collar and Champ had no negative reactions to the Blueberry collar as an orange never bleeds when wet. His neck and chest are finally healed. He shows his beauty again.
