I wanted to be more eco-friendly and have less waste on the day of cleaning. They work very well on a dry sweeper and pick up dirt, cat hair, human hair and glitter. Not very good for wet cleaning. Velcro pads close the jet stream, it would be ideal if the jet stream came from the middle, but mine on the sides. However, the Velcro on the underside of my wet cleaning brush sticks to the lining due to the material. The pad picks up stains, juice, coke, dried mascara, hairspray, whatever. Tip*** Dampen the pad before use or you will need more cleaner (I spray from a water bottle). Easy to clean, just toss in the washing machine when finished, holds its shape in the dryer. I gave 5 stars because I can still use it as a workaround, they work well and do the job.
