Cold air intake for 7.3 liter lifted engine
I have used only K&N air filters for the last 15 years and they work great. Diesel engines use a lot of air, and air filters contain a lot of bugs, dust, etc., so air filters tend to clog faster and don't clean well, so I usually swap them out instead of reusing them. every 30 or 40,000 miles depending on the degree of contamination. No matter how dirty they get, they are a huge advantage over paper filters. In my cars they last about 100,000 miles before I replace them and I clean them every 30,000. Mileage and performance appear to be better than stock, but not as much as K&N.Ken claims.
