I recently installed a 2012 LED headlight on a 2008 Lexus IS350. I used this relay along with a connector to control the headlight LED brightness. I wanted to have 100% brightness with the engine on and switch to 50% brightness with the low beams on. It's waterproof so I just wanted to leave it in front of the fuse box as my car has a very narrow engine compartment. Everything was hooked up correctly BUT the 10 amp auxiliary circuit fuse on the ignition fuse socket continued to blow. After blowing 5 fuses I replaced it with a cheaper "Parts Express 12 VDC Waterproof Relay SPDT 30/40A" and guess what? It worked right away! And with this relay replaced I was able to slide it into the fuse box as it was smaller than the Hella. Not sure if this is because the 20/40 amp Hella has less power than the 30/40 amp Parts Express. Anyway, it didn't work for my headlight project. Edit: I've just read a few reviews of the connector and few have claimed that the pin numbers were mislabeled. Maybe that's why it didn't work for me. Well, (since it's a matched pair with a plug) if so I'll leave it 1 star because it took me 30 minutes. Project the last half day and give me potential dangers. =
