For the last month and a half I have been dealing with the nightmare of mosquito/fruit fly infestations that my apartment and their wit about the pest control service can have. do nothing yet. I decided to get them as part of my ongoing attempt to fight the infestation myself, in addition to sticky yellow traps I had hung around the apartment, and killed them by hand and with a bug gun. (By the way, I highly recommend getting one of these). About a couple hundred of them die from sticky traps every week, and I kill about the same number by hand and with a salt beetle. These traps are strategically placed to cover every part of my apartment (and dark areas if possible) and run 24/7. In the last week since I've had them these traps have killed about 8 mosquitoes in total. I'll return them and just buy more sticky yellow traps, they're a lot cheaper and a lot more effective. I would recommend the same to anyone dealing with mosquitoes or fruit flies. They may be more effective against mosquitoes, but I can't speak about them as I don't have mosquitoes in my apartment.
