I had my doubts and my evidence is not scientific. My 48 volt Ryobi self-propelled lawn mower definitely went out much earlier mowing my 1-acre garden than it did when it was new. Of course there are variables with the height and moisture of the weed, but the decrease was evident. The mower has a battery status indicator, but it does not provide numerical values. After adding this device, the area mowed before the mower needs to be charged has increased by 15 to 20 percent, possibly more. This appears to be the case after three weekly cuttings. The battery life has been extended. LATER: After three months, the results are even more impressive. I estimate that the capacity of the 48 volt battery pack has increased by 30%. Excellent results. I know this is not a scientific measurement.
