So let me start with a little background. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats at home. Dogs carry a lot of dust from the street and we have 2 litter boxes in constant use. So my air purifier works all the time. Anyway, I ordered this set of 4 to replace the one black filter that was in the original. These were definitely thicker and the size was *almost* the same. They were about an inch longer. However, I used normal scissors and they were perfect at the time. They seem to work just like the original. It still sucks up odors, fur and dust like the original. It's brown from all the dust and it's only been a few days. (Phew!) All in all, that's a lot and needs a small and simple modification. I don't think it's worth spending 3x more on other filters. Overall I would recommend.
