My project involves welding 24 steel ducts to steel studs and grinding rusty metal plates. I considered using Rustoleum metal primer and enamel. I chose this product because I thought I could paint without a top coat. I found that one coat didn't hold up to 2000psi washing. Two layers withstand washing under pressure. The red color is thick. One layer can cover any color. Cleaning is easy compared to oil paint. Delivery is very fast. I used two and a half gallons in my project. I used a Wooster 4.5" Jumbo-Koter Micro Plush Roller Coat and the finish is like a spray. I used a wire pot wheel to remove scale and rust and smooth out old paint. I then used ZEP Purple Cleaner & Degreaser used in 1:5 ratio to clean the metal before painting I am happy with the result Nice flat red colour.
