*UPDATE* The filter didn't last 3 months. I've lived with water that tastes just like my tap water for almost 2 months. I bought this filter because of the cheap price. I usually buy a very expensive one for my gold Whirlpool fridge. It fits perfectly. There were no leaks or problems. I found it good that the water drained much faster than with the original filters. After installation I had to spill about 10 liters of water. The first few gallons were gray water. With the filter prepped and ready to use, I made myself a cup of water. The taste of the water came very close to the taste of the vortex filters. I still liked how quickly the water drained. After about a month of use, I noticed that the water didn't taste as good as it originally did. Surprisingly, the longer I use it, the worse it gets. It tastes almost like tap water. I don't think this filter will last 3 months. This is a great temporary filter if you don't mind spending the money just to throw the filter away after 2 months. I give it 4 stars because it was very good for a month. .
