I knew it was time to upgrade to a new computer, but I didn't know the best way to transfer my old computer's contents. After reviewing many options, I settled on a lightweight transmission cable. Honestly I didn't think it would work. But it worked and I was able to do it myself easily and simply. Although I own several websites I consider myself technically demanding but this was really easy. My fame must begin with a brief guide. Unlike many manuals that consist of illustrations with confusing arrows and confusing instructions, the Belkin manual is simple and easy to understand. Step-by-step photos and instructions guide you through the entire process. At the beginning of the process, you know what your computer can do. You may need to download an update package. With Windows XP, my computer was up and running. I installed the CD into an old computer, followed the instructions, plugged it in via the USB ports, and had a cool drink while the cable did all the work - easy and no-fuss. The Belkin Easy Transfer Cable transferred everything to my new computer. I've already deleted many files that I don't need, and during this process I was able to select common items that I wanted to transfer, including photos and documents. It worked! Within half an hour, the content was transferred from my old machine to the new one. Due to copyright reasons, some types of programs and applications cannot be transferred. Very impressive and highly recommended. Lee Mellott
