What I really liked about these shoes is how similar they are to my old Shimano M8082 MTB shoes that they no longer make, with two velcro straps . and top strap. On the plus side, the shoe fits well and is comfortable to wear even after a long time of fiddling around. So he gets 2 instead of 0. And with the shortage of bikes and accessories caused by Covid-19, I was grateful to finally find something my size that costs under $300. Unfortunately, it has too many flaws. 1. The bolt mounting slot is centered, not inset. Because of this, the boot would rub on the inside of the second thumb's joint when pedaling on the cranks. And more than a little, I couldn't ride like that. I had to buy special slotted studs and put spacer washers on the pedals to get even a millimeter of play. This is my fourth pair of mountain bike shoes and I've never had this problem with the same bikes. The spike slot also doesn't go far enough back. Most cycling shoes have the slot too far forward (the pedal axle should be under the second knuckle of the big toe), but these shoes are worse than my other shoes. I usually have the tip near the back of the slot, I have it at the very back and it's not far enough from where it should be.3. The inside of the tongue of the boot in the front is oddly shaped and thin, it often flexes when I put my foot in it and then I have to take the boot off and fiddle with it to get it right. 4. The straps are ridiculously long and I have high arches! I had to cut the ends of the straps because they were dangling enough to catch on objects.5. Tension belts can jam! In the first 6 months of use it didn't happen, but either the material stretched or my foot "broke" the shoe because I can reach the end of the strap and then opening doesn't work! I had to force the boot off when the ratchet strap got stuck in its tightest position. Then disassemble the shoe to release the ratchet. What a ridiculously stupid design!
