Can't say if it's submersible because I haven't used it yet. It looks and feels like a very durable bag. I've bought a few others from different sellers and I think this one beats them all in looks! I like that there are internal pockets for small items and not everything mixed up with groceries, clothes etc. I also like the outside pocket but I can see where you don't put valuables in there you need to keep absolutely dry! Put them in! The clasp is great! I wish the clasps and hinges were stainless steel to be stronger but so far they look ok. We will see. I would NOT use the D ring on the side for anything heavy. It WILL BREAK but if you follow the instructions you will be told not to attach anything heavy to this ring. From what I can see at the moment I think I will be very happy with this bag and the size is perfect to take on the plane! I'll find out soon and if anything changes I'll post the comments.
