Music lovers rejoice! With this thing you can have a high-quality Bluetooth connection with a SPDIF OPTICAL connection and high-quality APT-X and APT-X HD codecs. I connected my SONY WH-1000XM3 noise canceling headphones to APT-X HD and they sound fantastic. In receive mode when receiving a Bluetooth stream from my ThinkPad T460 laptop, this thing showed that Windows 10 broadcasts natively using APT-X, even though my laptop's Bluetooth adapter doesn't officially support it! Well done Windows! In reception mode, the sound is excellent, even with an analogue connection. In RX mode, the analog connection is strong enough to drive wired headphones out loud, effectively adding Bluetooth to your old headphones! The battery life is great - take it with you and connect Bluetooth to your car or old tape recorder and be the life of the party! In RX mode, the up/down buttons change tracks and change volume when held down. The only downside is the inconvenient Bluetooth connection; Sometimes you have to restart it to reconnect. When transmitting to two devices in TX mode, both devices must support APT-X if you wish, otherwise SBC is used by default.
