I bought a 10m cable to connect a PC to a LG OLED TV. I ran it under the carpet along the walls of the room, trying to be very careful with the cord. I've made sure the cable doesn't kink badly since it's fiberglass. The cable worked flawlessly for 4 weeks. Then one sad day I turned on my TV and found that it no longer recognized the signal coming from the cable. Just to make sure it wasn't a problem with the PC or the TV, I ripped out the PC and held it up to the TV, then connected the PC to the TV with an optical HDMI cable (not pictured). Unfortunately, it worked fine with non-fiber cables. Just in case, I carefully removed the fiber optic cable from where it was routed and plugged it in, but it still didn't work. So I concluded that the 33 foot fiber optic cable is dead. This is frustrating as I spent a lot of time carefully routing the cable so it can't be touched or seen only for it to fail - not to mention it's very expensive and the failure happened after the return period.
