Noticeably better picture and sound quality

I am very satisfied with this HDMI cable. I only found out about optical HDMI a few weeks ago and took it to see if it would be an improvement. I'm using it on a 2012 65" Visio TV (1080p) but the picture seems a bit sharper and the colors more vibrant. The sound quality has also improved. Not a huge difference, but definitely a noticeable improvement.

Cons

My projector problems were solved 100% economically

my projector is set back about 15 feet and many other high quality cables were causing terrible flickering or nicking. I really didn't want to delve into HDMI 2.0b/HDCP/HDR over Ethernet, both because of the complexity and the potential for interference when using multiple TX/RX units, not to mention the cost. This cable works great for HDR+ 4k 60 and for the price you can't beat it. Highly recommended if you need to remotely run high quality for a projector or TV in another area.

4K is not just 4K

I really like this product. Unlike a traditional HDMI cable, an optical HDMI cable is thin and flexible and will work over a significant distance. 80% of my work is 30 to 50 feet from the camera. I typically use an SDI cable which requires an HDMI/SDI converter and power from professional cameras at 1080p60 to stream. Sometimes I use 4Kp60 and therein lies the problem. Professional 4Kp60 HDMI is typically 10-bit 4,2,2 video at 200-600Mbps. This cable just isn't fast enough for its 18.0 Mbps…

Works but heats up AV Accessory

As expected I tested the cable prior to installation and it worked fine. I routed it from the HDMI splitter, through the wall, through the attic and down to the bedroom. Connected to an HDMI audio output (my bedroom plasma doesn't decode Dolby) and to a TV. The TV is only 1080p so I can't test how it works in 4K but I can say it works fine in 1080p. The HDMI connector at the receiving end (which I believe contains the optic-to-cable conversion electronics) gets quite hot, but doesn't seem warm…

Worked well for 4 weeks, then died

I bought a 10m cable to connect a PC to a LG OLED TV. I ran it under the carpet along the walls of the room, trying to be very careful with the cord. I've made sure the cable doesn't kink badly since it's fiberglass. The cable worked flawlessly for 4 weeks. Then one sad day I turned on my TV and found that it no longer recognized the signal coming from the cable. Just to make sure it wasn't a problem with the PC or the TV, I ripped out the PC and held it up to the TV, then connected the PC to…

  • The list is getting long.

Dear Customer I was so happy to find these electronics and everything the review company said after testing a $5.00 HDMI cable that gives you the same picture- and offers sound quality like 4K 2.1 for $25.00 at 28 Gbps. The HDMI cable will do. I saved a lot of money by not buying $25 cables. Then I thought about buying a 55 inch ULD S*** TV. At the store I went to the local electronics store Pop & Son. They showed me once and for all. They had an inexpensive LED TV hooked up to the $5 offered…

Worked when other HDMI cables failed - 50ft HDMI 4K Fiber Optic Cable

I've just completed the upgrade to a 4K projector and noticed that my 50ft HDMI cable I went through got the ceiling led, does not support 4K handshake and failure. I've tried several 4k certified active HDMI cables or a 4k repeater that did the same. I then tried extending the 4k HDMI with a Cat 6 cable. As long as this was holding the HDMI signal, random lines appeared on the screen. That's why I chose an HDMI fiber optic cable. I found HDMI fiber optic cables to have a big price difference…

Good fiber at a good price

Some of you know this, many of you don't. HDMI for 2020 should still be able to deliver a high bandwidth signal to keep up with the technology paradigm we have now - 4K, Dolby Atmos and who knows what other new technologies and upgrades are around the corner. For any HDMI that is over 6 to 8 feet long, you should look for a fiber optic based HDMI cable. Why are they expensive? They have high-speed fiber converters at each end. You need very good ones that can keep up with the speed of…
