it took me 4 of these to hold two J hooks. Two went in quite normally, upstairs. I hope that's enough. The third hit the beam with a pilot hole and although it should have gone straight through, the plastic anchor just smashed into the beam. The hole was wider than the anchor. I screwed in the fourth and the head of the screw came loose. I'd rather spend the same money on better anchors and screws, but I haven't seen anything decent about the Revain. Now I have 46 of them that I can't trust.
