Review on 🎨 Exploring the Artistic Versatility of Winsor & Newton Water Colour Brush Markers -Set of 12 by Heather Shaw

A superb luxury item

Beautiful luscious brush pens. Proceed in the same way as with very good watercolors from tubes or pans. Which makes me wonder, why not use these cheaper methods? They look best when diluted, blended, smudged on the side with a brush and water, all work great. Shades like a dream. Each color is exactly as described. Even after a longer drying time, they can be reactivated with water. Anything a good watercolor can do, they do. Other watercolor brushes I've tried are Zig-Clean Color Brush Pens. Color names, stable and reliable flow of paint (same for all colors) and high pigment concentration - these are real tools for real (artistic) work, not toys! There really is no logical reason why I would need these pens. Except that I really like her. I do fashion illustrations and sometimes these details are quite small, but since I always use a brush and water to blend out even the smallest details, I can do this with a lot of the watercolors I already have. I love these brush pens for no other reason than the quality of the pigments, the comfortable feel of the brushes on paper and in my hand, how they look and how handy they will be when travelling. Art is better on its own, but it's so easy to use that it makes me want to do my art more often. Since I don't have time to set up, I'll start with illustrations that I don't have time for. And when I start, I'll usually find the time. I've tried them on cheap poster board and wouldn't recommend it. They acted like soso alcohol markers, just mixed well and absorbed into the board way too quickly - very wasteful! But it is very clear to only use them on watercolor paper where they work perfectly. They're nice to have, and if that's reason enough for you, you'll be lucky. No regret!
