Winsor & Newton Watercolor Pencils Set of 12

Love them. after finding out what types of paper they are compatible with. On low-quality paper, they tend to seize up and don't mix at all. The following papers have worked very well: Arches WC, Bockingford, St Cuthberts Mill WC, Daler-Rowney Langton WC (also from St Cuthbert Mill) and cheaper than the previous two, Windsor & Newton WC - they have changed. Manufacturer - was St Curthberts Mill. I'm not sure who their current manufacturer is but their new paper is called 'Classic' which will be

Essential Paper

These markers work well when using high quality paper but not well on low quality paper. I bought these to use outdoors with my Daler Rowney Cachet Travel Sketchbook which is 120 pound pages and usually takes watercolors well. These markers on paper felt like Crayola markers. I couldn't manipulate the color at all. The reviewer, who called them "just another marker," must have had a similar experience. A beautiful luxury item

Beautiful lush brushes. Proceed in the same way as with very good watercolors from tubes or pans. Which makes me wonder, why not use these cheaper methods? They look best when diluted, blended, smudged on the side with a brush and water, all work great. Shades like a dream. Each color is exactly as described. Even after a longer drying time, they can be reactivated with water. Anything a good watercolor can do, they do. Other watercolor brushes I've tried are Zig-Clean Color Brush Pens. Color…
