Review on 🎨 Exploring the Artistic Versatility of Winsor & Newton Water Colour Brush Markers -Set of 12 by Linda Diaz

Essential Paper

These markers work well when using high quality paper but not well on low quality paper. I bought these to use outdoors with my Daler Rowney Cachet Travel Sketchbook which is 120 pound pages and usually takes watercolors well. These markers on paper felt like Crayola markers. I couldn't manipulate the color at all. The reviewer, who called them "just another marker," must have had a similar experience. However, I tested them on 140lb Strathmore paper and had a very different experience. The colors became liquid as soon as water was added and were easy to work with. The product description for these markers recommends using WN watercolor paper and yes you definitely need to use them with good quality paper. I included a picture showing a 120lb Daler Rowney on the left and a 140lb Strathmore on the right.
